Naloxone/Narcan® Training

Please join Julia Telfer of AIDS Connecticut (ACT) and Gillian Kuszewski, PharmD, of UConn Health, for a Naloxone/Narcan training/presentation. Topics will include:
• History and background of community naloxone programs in CT
• Risk factors for and clinical presentation of a person with an opioid overdose
• Introduction to naloxone as an opioid antagonist
• Responding to an overdose and administering naloxone
• Special topics for health profession students and health professionals
Session will be facilitated by Bruce Gould, MD, Associate Dean for Primary Care and Director, CT Area Health Education Centers, UConn School of Medicine.
A limited number of kits will be available at the training for those who need one.
