  • 12/21 Planned Telecommunications Downtime Wednesday

    On the morning of Wednesday, Dec. 21, starting at approximately 12:30 a.m., staff from the UConn Health IT Department will be performing critical software maintenance on portions of the Campus Voice Communications System. This maintenance is planned to take no more than 15 minutes. During this maintenance period telephones will not be operational in the majority of our main campus and the immediately surrounding off-campus buildings. Your business unit will need to plan accordingly for this interruption of voice services.

    What will continue to work during this event?  Emergency red phones, extension-to-extension calling and outbound calling within the University Tower, Voalte1 messaging, and digital pagers.

    Computers, network devices, and Wi-Fi systems will not be impacted during this voice service outage.

    Once the system is restarted voice services are expected to return to operational status. If your phone device has an issue reconnecting please call x4400 so we can assist.
