Important Update from I.T. and Purchasing – Avoid the Toner Supply Scam
The IT Department has recently been made aware of a Toner Supply Scam taking place at UConn Health. This scam involves a caller pretending to be one of the Health Center’s regular or "authorized" toner suppliers. By convincing you that the goods or services and prices they are offering are the same (or cheaper) as before, the caller hopes that you’ll place an order through them. The result: toner supplies are delivered along with an invoice at 5-10 times the actual cost.
Please remember that toner for the printers and copiers that are part of UConn Health fleet and maintained by IT, are included in the departmental copy charges. Toner for the printers and copiers should not and need not be purchased through a 3rd party vendor.
