    TRH Phase I Study

    Healthy Volunteers Needed

    Dr. Jayesh Kamath, of the department of psychiatry at UConn Health is conducting a research study called “A Phase I Study of the Biomarker Response and Pharmacokinetic Profile of Thyrotropin-Releasing Hormone (TRH) Administration as a Sublingual Tablet.”

     

    This study will compare effects (both good and bad) of two doses of sublingual TRH tablets, to the standard i.v. dose of TRH and, for comparison, to a tablet of TRH that is meant to be swallowed rather than dissolved under the tongue.

     

    Eligibility: English speaking, between the ages of 21-40, in good physical and mental health.  Available for up to 4 morning hours a week for a total of 6 weeks in a row

     

    This study will take approximately 6 weeks to complete.  You not receive any benefit from participating in this study. 

     

    You will receive up to $1000.00 for completing the study.
