In February, 2016 the University of Connecticut and the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on research and education. Collaborative projects have already been initiated focused on the epidemic of Chronic Kidney Disease of Unknown Etiology (CKDu) in Sri Lanka. In this meeting Professor Dharmaratne will describe other opportunities for research collaboration.
