Additional UConn Health Information

  • Participate in the Patient Safety Culture Survey

We are asking all JDH and UMG employees to participate in the 2016 Patient Safety Culture Survey.  As a member of our staff, your involvement with these initiatives and actions are key to ensuring that our patients are provided with safe, reliable care throughout their stay. We value your opinion and ask that you give an objective assessment of what is working and let us know what areas need improvement by taking just a few minutes to complete the anonymous survey. When you fill out the survey, please think about these examples of safety initiatives and successes over the past year:

    • UConn John Dempsey Hospital has been rated as “A” for its high level of patient safety by The Leapfrog Group.

    • John Dempsey Hospital received Northeast Business Group on Health’s Leapfrog Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Award for highest score results in both Connecticut and New York State.

    • Serious Safety Event is at .38 the lowest ever for John Dempsey Hospital.

    • 100% compliance has been achieved with door-to-balloon time in less than 90 minutes.

    • Get With The Guidelines received Silver plus Quality Achieve Award for stroke.

    • High reliability training and Safety Starts With Me was completed by 100% of UConn Medical Group staff.
