  • 10/14 2016 North Eastern Structure Symposium (NESS)

    On Friday, October 14, The 2016 North Eastern Structure Symposium (NESS) will be held at UConn Health, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, in the Grossman Auditorium at 400 Farmington Ave., Farmington.  This annual event sponsored by the UConn Partnership for Excellence in Structural Biology (Storrs and Farmington) covers a defined topic in Structural Biology.  The subject this year is "New Paradigms in Drug Discovery", featuring a Plenary Lecture by Dr. Brian Shoichet, UCSF, entitled "A Cure for Pain”.  The meeting features additional prominent investigators in drug discovery and structural biology from across the Northeast.  Additional information and registration are available at http://ness.nmrbox.org.  There will be posters and poster prizes, and submissions are encouraged.  We will also be honoring our beloved friend and colleague Dr. Amy Anderson with a special tribute at the meeting.  Amy passed away July 18, 2016.  Her obituary can be found at http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/telegram/obituary.aspx?pid=180713424.
