    Target AudiencePrimary care physicians, medical oncologists, gynecologists, gynecological oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiologists, nurses and any other clinicians involved in the management and treatment of patients with breast cancer.

     

    Learning Objectives:  Participants will (be able to):

    1. Review breast cancer screening guidelines

    2. Understand potential new directions in breast cancer screening (e.g. 3D mammography, Abbreviated MRI).

    3. Understand ongoing and planned clinical trials that address the potential elimination of breast cancer surgery in DCIS and axillary lymph node dissection.

     

     

    Accreditation: The University of Connecticut School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
