Ash Wednesday derives its name from the practice of placing ashes on the forehead. It is a holy day of prayer and fasting inaugurating the season of Lent.
If you would like to receive ashes for Ash Wednesday, they will be available in a few locations.
- Ashes will be available in the Murray-Heilig Chapel until 10 this morning.
- Ashes will be available in the Outpatient Pavilion 3rd floor near elevators from 1 to 3 this afternoon.
Ashes may be able to be brought to your area. Please arrange by appointment ahead of time.
