    Common Compliance Pitfalls from FY2025 and Strategies for Success

    • This session explores common compliance challenges and offers practical strategies to help prevent them.

    iRIS Intro and Demo Session

    • Friday, Jan. 30, noon to 1 p.m., led by Stephen MacKinnon, regulatory specialist
    • This session provides an overview and live demonstration of the IRB study submission system, iRIS, including key features and system navigation. This is a recurring training; the most recent session was held Oct. 31, 2025.

    Using EPIC and Cosmos for Research

    • Tuesday, Feb. 3, noon to 1 p.m., Low Learning Center, presented by Donna Pike, application developer; Luis Calderin, principal trainer; and Rebecca Burke, research compliance monitor
    • This in-person* session provides an overview of the tools available to utilize medical record information for research on health-related research.
    • Bring your lunch and join us to learn more about the history of electronic medical records, reporting tools, procedures for requesting and accessing data, and institutional/regulatory requirements (e.g., IRB review, HIPAA).
