Research Studies Seeking Participants

  • Clinical Trial for Skin Lupus Now Enrolling

    Are you or someone you know, bothered by red, scaly patches on your skin due to cutaneous lupus? If so, the Dermatology Clinical Research Center is conducting a new research study that might be of interest to you. In the study a potential medication is investigated to see if it improves skin condition caused by skin lupus. 

    You may qualify for this research study, if the following applies to you: 

    • You are at least 18 years old.
    • You have skin lupus (cutaneous lupus erythematosus). 
    • You experience active symptoms, and you didn’t feel any improvement of the symptoms for the last 12 weeks (about three months).

    There are other eligibility requirements. A final decision on whether this research study might be suitable for you will be made after you visit with the study team. The study team will also explain the benefits and risks of participation in this research study

    If you qualify and choose to join the research study, you will receive all study-related care at no cost. This includes the study medication as well as any study visits. 

    You may receive additional reimbursement for expenses related to study participation (such as study-related travel costs, meals and others). Information will be provided by the study team.
