Dear UConn Asian/Asian American faculty and staff community:
Our faculty and staff affinity group charter was approved recently, paving the way for this election to follow a revised leadership structure.
We are seeking nominations for the following eight to 11 positions to serve on A3FSA’s executive committee (ExCo):
- Chair
- Vice Chair (Chair Elect)
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Membership and Outreach Coordinator
- Cultural Programming Coordinator
- At-Large executive committee members representing diverse departments and campuses (2-5 positions).
All executive committee officers shall serve two-year terms beginning Jan. 1 following their election year.
- Officers may seek re-election for one additional consecutive term, serving a maximum of four consecutive years in the same position.
- After completing a maximum of two consecutive terms, former officers must observe a two-year waiting period before becoming eligible for re-nomination to any executive committee position.
To submit nominations, including self-nominations, please complete the form.
Please contact nominees and confirm their willingness to serve if elected. Multiple nominations are accepted.
- Nominations must be received by Thursday, Nov. 13, at 5 p.m.
- An election ballot for voting will be circulated to members in late November 2025.
