  • TMD/TMJ Treatment Program

    UConn Health Department of Behavioral Sciences has a program for persons with TMD/facial pain age 18 and up who want to learn to manage their pain better. Treatment comprises six weekly visits, with follow-ups out to 14 months. We are studying two different outpatient treatment methods for helping people with facial pain. Treatment for all will also include an initial x-ray, a supply of non-opioid pain medication, prescription for a soft diet for a short time, and delivery of an oral splint.
