Important network maintenance scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 16, starting at 1 a.m. and lasting until 5 a.m. This maintenance might cause brief disruptions in connectivity to our data center and internet access, so please plan accordingly.
During this period, you might experience network instability and may need to employ downtime procedures. Here are some potential high-impact issues that could occur:
- The Tele-sitter application may drop its connection to the data center, rendering it inoperable during any brief one-minute outages.
- All thin clients might need to be reconnected.
- Any active phone calls will be lost, and phones may need to re-register, which includes poison control and med control calls. However, red phones will remain operational during this time.
- Communication with Epic could be disrupted.
- Access control and security cameras, including those in the NICU and DOC 5th floor, may need a few minutes to reconnect to the server.
- All remote users will experience brief disruptions.
We expect these disruptions to be brief, but it's essential to be prepared for any potential issues. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated.
