  • 12/18 Health Research Program: Summer 2025 Opportunities

    Dear UConn Health faculty members,

We invite you to participate in the Health Research Program, connecting UConn Health researchers with undergraduates interested in health and biomedical sciences. Coordinated by the Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) with support from the Provost, Vice President for Research, and the Deans of Medicine and Dental Medicine, the program offers:

    • Full-time summer research (10 weeks), with continuation part-time during the 2025-26 academic year (based on progress and interest).
    • Financial support for student stipends has increased to $5,000 (previously $4,000).

Faculty mentors will design projects, provide mentorship, review applications, interview candidates, and select students for new collaborations. Existing research relationships are not eligible for this program, but other OUR funding options are available for those students.

Details on timelines, eligibility, and the Research Opportunity Description Form (due Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024) are on the program website for faculty. Please note:

    • Research must be based at UConn Health (excluding CCMC).
    • Financial transactions must use UConn Health accounts.
