    MSI (N) – MSI Rehab Expansion

      • Project Scope: Renovate the existing gym, support spaces, and infill the abandon pool to expand the gym area.
      • Schedule: Construction preparing to begin, completion late Summer 2024.
      • Impacts:
        • Construction will occur during normal business hours.
        • Certain specific tasks are scheduled to be performed during off-hours to reduce impacts to adjacent areas.
        • Be aware of posted signage and room closures.  Do not enter construction areas.

    Academic Building – AM006 Human Anatomy Lab Renovations/BL 89 Replacement

      • Project Scope: Renovate the existing Human Anatomy Lab on the Main Level of the Academic Building. Construction will consist of demolition, new finishes, lab casework, ventilated cadaver tables, lighting, roof top air handling unit and modifications to existing utilities.
      • Schedule: Construction on-going, completion late Summer 2024.  
      • Impacts:
        • Construction will occur during normal business hours.
        • Certain specific tasks are scheduled to be performed during off-hours to reduce impacts on adjacent areas.
        • Be aware of posted signage and room closures.  Do not enter construction areas.

     CT Tower (H) – Main Level – HM043 Radiology Fluoroscopy Room Renovation

      • Project Scope: Renovate fluoroscopy Room 9 and install new imaging equipment.
      • Schedule: Construction on-going, completion early Fall 2024.
      • Impacts:
        • Construction will occur during normal business hours. Material deliveries and trash removal will occur off hours.
        • Certain specific tasks are scheduled on weekends in order to limit impact in clinical areas.
        • Be aware of posted signage and room closures.  Do not enter construction areas.

     Firehouse (8) – Firehouse Improvements

      • Project Scope: Replace concrete entrance ramp, interior and exterior painting, and minor improvements.
      • Schedule: Construction on-going, completion late Spring late 2024.
      • Impacts:
        • Be aware of construction activities and traffic near the Firehouse.  
        • Be aware of posted signage.  Do not enter construction areas.

     Administrative Services Building (ASB/D) – Exterior Joint Sealant Replacement

      • Project Scope: Remove and replace existing exterior precast panel joint sealant.
      • Schedule: Construction on-going, completion late Spring 2024.
      • Impacts:
        • Construction will occur during normal business hours.
        • All entrances will remain open.
        • Be aware of posted signage, barricades, and construction equipment. Do not enter construction areas.

     University Tower (T) – TG121 Blood Bank Relocation

      • Project Scope: Renovate TG121 in the University Tower to create the Blood Bank lab. Construction will consist of demolition of partitions, creation of new corridor, new wall partitions, lab casework, finishes, lightning, and modifications to existing utilities.
      • Schedule: Construction on-going, completion early Summer 2024.
      • Impacts:
        • Construction will occur during normal business hours.
        • Certain specific tasks are scheduled to be performed during off-hours to reduce impacts to adjacent areas.
        • Be aware of posted signage and room closures.  Do not enter construction areas.

     CT Tower (H)  - H4 NESCI/CBDC Relocation/Renovation

      • Project Scope: Renovate Level 4 of the Connecticut Tower to create the New England Sickle Cell Institute / Connecticut Blood Disorder Center. Construction will consist of demolition, new wall partitions, finishes, lightning, and modifications to existing utilities.
      • Schedule: Construction on-going, completion late Summer 2024.  
      • Impacts:
        • Construction will occur during normal business hours.
        • Certain specific tasks are scheduled to be performed during off-hours to reduce impacts on adjacent clinical operations.
        • Be aware of posted signage and room closures.  Do not enter construction areas.
        • The project is not expected to have significant impact on clinical operations.
        • Construction work may generate some intermittent noise and odors.  Please contact David Riggles at 860-461-9386 with any issues

      CT Tower (H) – H7 Med Surg Observation Renovation

      • Project Scope: Renovate Level 7 of the Connecticut Tower to reopen the exiting inpatient floor as an inpatient observation unit. The construction will involve mostly cosmetic upgrades, including plumbing and IT.
      • Schedule: Phase II construction on-going, completion early Spring
      • Impacts:
        • Construction will mostly occur during normal business hours. 
        • Certain specific tasks are scheduled during evening hours to reduce impacts on clinical operations.
        • Be aware of posted signage. Do not enter construction area.

     Clinic Building (C) – Second Floor – EP and Cath Lab 1 Renovation

      • Project Scope: Renovate existing EP and Cath Lab 1 and install new equipment in both rooms.
      • Schedule: Phase 1 (EP) construction is on-going, completion late spring 2024.  Phase 2 (Cath Lab 1) will begin in late spring 2024, completion early Winter 2024.
      • Impacts:
        • Construction will occur during normal business hours.  Material deliveries and trash removal will occur off hours.
        • Certain specific tasks are scheduled on weekends in order to limit impact in clinical areas.

     Parking Garage 2 – Fencing Installation

      • Project Scope: Installation of safety barrier fencing at Garage 2.
      • Schedule: Installation is on-going, completion late Summer 2024
      • Impacts:
        • The Garage will remain open and all entrances will remain accessible.  Work will be done in phases so the impact to parking can be minimized.  Please be cautious when traveling in the area and obey all cones, signage and personnel providing traffic control.
        • A temporary parking service will be added at the ED entrance beginning June 12th to assist with patient and visitor parking due to recent volume increases.  For parking related issues please contact Administrative Support Services at 860-679-4248.
        • Work may generate some intermittent noise and odors.  For construction related issues please contact Janice Hill at 860-480-6392.

     CT Tower (H) - H1015-1020 Seclusion Area Renovation

      • Project Scope: Renovate Psychiatry Unit on Level 1 of the Connecticut Tower to create a new seclusion room suite, offices, staff break room and enclose the nurse station.
      • Schedule:  Construction is substantially complete; punch list and miscellaneous items being addressed.
      • Impacts:
        • Construction will mostly occur during normal business hours. 
        • Certain specific tasks are scheduled during evening hours to reduce impacts on clinical operations.
        • Be aware of posted signage. Do not enter construction area.
        • Construction work may generate some intermittent noise and odors.  Please contact Richard Spash at 860-371-7205 with any issues.

     Lab Building (L) – 2nd Floor – Lab and Office Renovations

      • Project Scope: The project consists of renovating the L Building second floor north section from the L Building elevators to the Connecticut Tower/H building to create new laboratory and office spaces.
      • Schedule: Construction on-going, completion Summer 2024.
      • Impacts:
        • There will be a shutdown of corridor L2S4B and L2S4A that egress stair LS4 from May 28th and ending on June 7th at 4:00 pm. Use stair H2S1 during this shutdown. This shutdown is to provide new lights, ductwork, and ceiling in these areas.
        • Construction will mostly occur during normal business hours. 
        • Be aware of posted signage.  Do not enter construction areas.
        • Construction Barriers will close access to the L2 elevator lobby and the Men’s and Women’s bathroom will be closed.
