UConn Health Study Investigates Apathy in Depression & Alzheimer's Disease
Adults 65 - 85 years old who are diagnosed with depression are needed for this study to investigate how apathy presents in depression and Alzheimer’s disease and the brain changes related to apathy in these two groups.
Participation involves:
- 5-7 hours divided over 2 or 3 appointments at UConn Health
- One-time blood draw
- Interviews and evaluations
- Testing of thinking & memory
- One-time MRI brain scan
- No cost for participation
Payment to participants includes up to $110 at completion of all study procedures for the 4-week study.
