  • 5/31 Last Day of Health Insurance Open Enrollment

    The annual Health Insurance Open Enrollment period for most state of Connecticut employees ends today, Friday, May 31, 2024. Any changes made during Open Enrollment will be effective July 1, 2024. Please note that this Open Enrollment information does not pertain to Graduate Assistants or employees of the Capital Area Health Consortium.

    No action is required if you wish to remain enrolled in your current coverage; your current elections will automatically continue.

    Plan Information

    The Care Compass website (https://carecompass.ct.gov/benefits-enrollment/active-employees/) includes information about the plans and rates.  

    Options

    During open enrollment, you may:

    • change medical and/or dental plans
    • add or drop coverage for your eligible family members
    • enroll if you previously waived coverage
    • enroll in the Health Enhancement Program (HEP) if you previously waived enrollment

    Making Changes

    Employees who wish to make changes during this open enrollment period may enter changes directly in CORE-CT until 8pm today, Friday, May 31, 2024.  Requests to reset CORE-CT passwords may be directed to the IT Service Desk: (860) 679-4400.

    Please do not click ‘select’ on the Open Enrollment Event unless you intend to make changes. 

    Instructions for entering changes into CORE-CT are available in the eBenefits Tipsheet.  Please read the Tipsheet before making any changes.

    • Please do not initiate the Open Enrollment event until you are confident in your elections.
    • Please do not initiate or submit the Open Enrollment event more than once; doing so may result in an unintended disruption in coverage.
    • If a dependent is being added to insurance a copy of supporting documentation (i.e. marriage license, long form birth certificate, etc.) is also required and must be uploaded directly into CORE-CT at the time changes are entered.  Please do not initiate the Open Enrollment event until you have the necessary proof documentation ready to upload.
    • Please note that CORE-CT is unavailable after 8pm 

    Once your changes have been entered into CORE-CT, they will be processed by Human Resources, and a Confirmation Statement will be e-mailed to you.
