In honor of the visiting National Library of Medicine exhibition "Frankenstein: Penetrating the Secrets of Nature," the library is hosting two book club discussions centered on Mary Shelley’s 1818 novel Frankenstein. Throughout these hour-long events, we'll discuss the novel itself, its author, and how the novel’s themes have continued to resonate within the world of the biomedical sciences.
Book Club Discussion #1 (virtual discussion): April 2, 4 to 5 p.m.
Book Club Discussion #2 (in-person): April 3, noon to 1 p.m. in the library’s History of Medicine room. Refreshments will be provided.
To register for one or both of these book club discussions, visit our dedicated book club website: https://uchc.libguides.com/bookclub
The National Library of Medicine's traveling exhibit: Frankenstein: Penetrating the Secrets of Nature will be available in library though April 6. Be sure to see it before its gone! Can't stop by the library? Explore the digital exhibit.
