CT Tower (H) - H4 NESCI/CBDC Relocation/Renovation
- Project Scope: Renovate Level 4 of the Connecticut Tower to create the New England Sickle Cell Institute / Connecticut Blood Disorder Center. Construction will consist of demolition, new wall partitions, finishes, lightning, and modifications to existing utilities.
- Schedule: Construction is anticipated to begin March 20, 2024, with completion scheduled for late Summer 2024.
- Impacts:
- Construction will occur during normal business hours.
- Certain specific tasks are scheduled to be performed during off-hours to reduce impacts on adjacent clinical operations.
- Be aware of posted signage and room closures. Do not enter construction areas.
- The project is not expected to have significant impact on clinical operations.

University Tower – TGC13-C14, Install new door in Corridor to direct pedestrian traffic.
- Project Scope: Construct a new wall and install a double door.
- Schedule: Work starts Monday March 11, 2024 and will last approximately one week.
- Impacts:
- The section of the corridor will be closed on the ramp between the Surgery Waiting Room and Corridor leading up the ramp to the NCCU.
- An alternate route will have to be taken between the two areas.
- Construction work may generate some intermittent noise and dust.

Musculoskeletal Institute (N) – Rooftop - Chiller Replacement
- Project Scope: Replace existing chiller with new chiller on the roof.
- Schedule: Work to be completed early spring 2024.
- Impacts:
- A portion of the 4th floor freight elevator lobby will be closed off for related work during March and April. The elevator will remain accessible.
- Be aware of posted signage. Do not enter construction areas.

CT Tower (H) – H7 Med Surg Observation Renovation
- Project Scope: Renovate Level 7 of the Connecticut Tower to reopen the exiting inpatient floor as an inpatient observation unit. The construction will involve mostly cosmetic upgrades, including plumbing and IT.
- Schedule: Phase II construction on-going, completion early spring
- Impacts:
- Construction will mostly occur during normal business hours.
- Certain specific tasks are scheduled during evening hours to reduce impacts on clinical operations.
- Be aware of posted signage. Do not enter construction area.

Clinic Building (C) – Second Floor – EP and Cath Lab 1 Renovation
- Project Scope: Renovate existing EP and Cath Lab 1 and install new equipment in both rooms.
- Schedule: Phase 1 (EP) construction is on-going, completion late spring 2024. Phase 2 (Cath Lab 1) will begin in late spring 2024, completion early winter 2024.
- Impacts:
- A crane will be replacing C Building roof top equipment on the weekends of 3/16 and 3/23, weather permitting. It will be located in Parking Lot M2. Please follow all temporary construction notices, cones and signs and follow the directions of construction personnel if in the area.
- Construction will occur during normal business hours. Material deliveries and trash removal will occur off hours.
- Certain specific tasks are scheduled on weekends in order to limit impact in clinical areas.

Parking Garage 2 – Fencing Installation
- Project Scope: Installation of safety barrier fencing at Garage 2.
- Schedule: Installation is on-going, completion spring 2024
- Impacts:
- The Garage will remain open and all entrances will remain accessible. Work will be done in phases so the impact to parking can be minimized. Please be cautious when traveling in the area and obey all cones, signage and personnel providing traffic control.

Canzonetti Building (F) and Connecticut Tower (H) – Ground Floor – OB/GYN Nursery
- Project Scope: Renovate existing staff office, patient waiting room and old nursery to create a new transitional nursery containing six bassinets.
- Schedule: Construction on-going, completion spring 2024
- Impacts:
- Construction will occur during normal business hours. Temporary construction walls will make several corridors less wide.
- Certain specific tasks are scheduled on weekends in order to limit impact in clinical areas on the floor below.
- Be aware of posted signage and room closures. Do not enter construction areas.

Canzonetti Building (F) – Basement Level – Wound Care Renovation/GI Area
- Project Scope: Renovate selected areas in the Basement Level GI area to establish the new Wound Care Center.
- Schedule: Construction on-going, completion spring 2024.
- Impacts:
- Construction will occur during normal business hours. The construction zone will be completely enclosed within construction barrier walls and behind existing walls and sealed doorways.
- The project is not expected to have significant impact on clinical operations.
- Be aware of posted signage and room closures. Do not enter construction areas.

CT Tower (H) - H1015-1020 Seclusion Area Renovation
- Project Scope: Renovate Psychiatry Unit on Level 1 of the Connecticut Tower to create a new seclusion room suite, offices, staff break room and enclose the nurse station.
- Schedule: Construction is substantially complete; punch list and miscellaneous items being addressed.
- Impacts:
- Construction will mostly occur during normal business hours.
- Certain specific tasks are scheduled during evening hours to reduce impacts on clinical operations.
- Be aware of posted signage. Do not enter construction area.

Administrative Services Building (D) and UConn Musculoskeletal Institute (N) – Roof Replacements
- Project Scope: Replace existing roof with new roofs at both buildings simultaneously.
- Schedule: Construction is substantially complete, punch list and miscellaneous items being addressed
- Impacts:
- Construction will mostly occur during normal business hours and all building entrances will remain open.
- Certain specific tasks are scheduled on weekends in order to limit impact on clinical operations.
- Brief access into the 3rd Floor ceiling of ASB and 4th Floor ceiling of MSI will be required at certain points and will be scheduled with occupants.
- Construction vehicles will be active in the MSI loading dock area (off hours) and passing through Parking Lot L6 (all hours). One parking space in L6 has been temporarily removed to facilitate access for the duration of the project.
- Be aware of posted signage and sidewalk protections/modifications. Do not enter construction areas.

Lab Building (L) – 2nd Floor – Lab and Office Renovations
- Project Scope: The project consists of renovating the L Building second floor north section from the L Building elevators to the Connecticut Tower/H building to create new laboratory and office spaces.
- Schedule: Construction on-going, completion summer 2024.
- Impacts:
- Construction will mostly occur during normal business hours.
- Be aware of posted signage. Do not enter construction areas.
- Construction Barriers will close access to the L2 elevator lobby and the Men’s and Women’s bathroom will be closed.
