  • 3/22 UConn SSW ORS Event: Dr. Camille Quinn Friday

    Please join the Office of Research & Scholarship as we host speaker Dr. Camille Quinn Friday, March 22, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in HSSW113. Dr. Quinn will present Charting Your Path to a Funded Research Career, and hybrid attendance will be offered.

    Camille R. Quinn, Ph.D., AM, LCSW, LISW-S, is an associate professor at the University of Michigan School of Social Work. As an extension of her vast practice experience, she uses mixed-methods research to identify and address the needs of Black girls and young women involved in the youth punishment system to develop and advance effective and proactive prevention and intervention approaches as well as practice, policy, and research. Currently, Dr. Quinn is the PI of a National Institute of Minority Health and Health Disparities R21 award focused on the adaptation of mindfulness-based stress reduction interventions for justice-involved Black teenage girls, and PI of the MacArthur Foundation’s Safety and Justice Challenge grant, which invests in efforts to increase criminal justice reform at the local level.
