Research Studies Seeking Participants

  • Bladder Driving Study Now Enrolling

Did you know that older adults are overrepresented in fatal motor vehicle accidents? This study explores how a filling bladder can distract drivers, and how well older adults can sense the fullness of their bladder.

    Who Can Participate?

    • Men and Women
    • Age 25-35 or 60-90 years
    • Able to drive an automobile
    • Willing to undergo placement of a catheter and operate a car-driving simulator

Participation will involve two study visits at the Center on Aging at UConn Health. Each visit is expected to take approximately two-and-a-half hours. Participants will be compensated up to $250 for their time.
