Volunteer Experiences for members of the UConn Health Community in honor of MLK

The UConn Health Office for Diversity and inclusion is partnering with the Art Connection Studio to offer volunteer experiences for members of the UConn Health community. This partnership will kick off during the week of MLK events but be available throughout the year.

Art Connection Studio is a non-profit, community art center and gallery that cares for and provides art-based programming for individuals with mental, physical and behavioral disabilities.

They offer different modalities here at the studio, mixed media, painting/drawing, fiber arts and sewing. Interns and volunteers rotate and experience all of our modalities, by assisting the art facilitator with their class.

    Volunteering

Please consider volunteering your time at Art Connection Studio. Volunteers assist and support our artists in their creative work. Most volunteers have experience with art-making and share their knowledge and experience with our artists and staff.
