Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders (NICHE) Annual Donation Drive is seeking new, single use items to stock the Therapeutic Activity Cart for all patients, specifically those 65 years and older, to engage them mentally and to reduce distress during their hospital care. A few suggested items for the cart include small to medium sized stuffed animals, word search / crossword puzzles in different languages, coloring books, crayons, Sudoku, playing cards, reading glasses, large print books and magazines.
The donation drive runs from Wednesday, November 15th until Monday, December 11th. Please look for the plastic collection containers located in the entrance lobby and throughout the hospital.
