Target Audience: UConn Health faculty, residents, medical students, and other mental health professionals
Learning Objectives: Participants will (be able to):
- Define mindfulness and describe formal versus informal practices
- Discuss how to apply mindfulness concepts to at least three prevalent psychological conditions
- Describe the use of mindfulness concepts in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
- Identify the rationale for psychiatric clinicians to develop their own mindfulness practices and discuss how to apply mindfulness concepts to personal, everyday activities
