There is a planned downtime involving the database servers for the Philips IntelliSpace PACS system scheduled for Monday, April 17, starting at 10 p.m. and ending Tuesday, April 18, at 8 a.m.
During the downtime, the production system servers will be offline. User access will automatically redirect to the Business continuity server (PICS) i.e., the backup production environment. The Backup environment is limited to approximately 3 months of prior imaging.
During the downtime,
- Users: Will be able to view images in PACS from links in epic but will be limited to exams available on the continuity server i.e., current exams as acquired and approximately 3 months of priors.
- Technologists: Will be able to acquire image and send them to PACS as usual.
- Technologists: Will be able to send Urgent cases to V-rad for interpretation as usual.
- Results provided by V-rad will need to be scanned into PACS (select PICS as the send to destination in Pacsscan)
- Radiology Informatics Staff will be onsite to assist with any issues that may arise.
After the downtime all imaging acquired during the downtime will be merged into the production environment and then user access will be redirected back to the production environment. If you encounter any issue accessing PACS after the downtime, please contact the HelpDesk at x4400.
