Research Studies Seeking Participants

  • Brain-Training Treatment for Depression

Do you have concern over your thinking & memory? Would you like to participate in a study on cognitive fitness?

Adults 60 years old or older who are experiencing symptoms of depression and currently being treated with antidepressants are needed for this study to investigate the effects of brain-training treatment on depression and thinking and memory.

Participation will involve interviews and evaluations, testing of thinking and memory, 28-42 hours of brain-training exercises over 4-6 weeks, an optional blood draw and optional MRI brain scans.

Once entered into the study, participants will be randomized (like a coin toss) to one of two interventions. This includes an intervention that follows recommendations for cognitive fitness and an experimental treatment under study.

Participants may receive payments of $40 at completion of each of the two assessment appointments and $40 at completion of each of two MRI visits for a total of up to $160 for this 14-month study.

All appointments and brain-training exercises are completed remotely from your home except for the MRI’s.

All appointments and brain-training exercises are completed remotely from your home except for the optional MRI’s.
