Psychologists in the Department of Psychiatry are now offering a daily (M-F) "Midday Meditation" from 12:15 to 12:30 p.m. If your workday allows, we invite all UConn Health employees and students, including telecommuters, to join us in this opportunity to take a 15-minute pause in your workday to attend to yourselves.
Health care staff play a critical role in the management of COVID-19, yet need time for reprieve and self care. Please tune in with us to share in evidenced based practices of mindful breathing, body and sensory awareness, relaxation, and self compassion, to help reduce symptoms of stress and anxiety, calm the body and the mind, regulate emotions, and increase resilience in these times of vulnerability.
