  • Men Needed for Immunity Research Study

Looking for Males aged 29-49 that do not have autoimmune diseases and are not on medications known to affect immune response (i.e. prednisone) to participate in a research study being conducted by UConn Center on Aging and JAX labs. This purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of how the immune system responds to vaccines, particularly as we age, by studying cells found in blood in the lab. It is known that as the body ages, the immune response after getting vaccine decreases. This study will look at ways to boost the immune response to vaccines.

This study does not involve receiving any vaccinations. The knowledge gained in this research study may lead to new more effective vaccines in the future. Volunteers will be asked to come for 1 study visit, where blood will be drawn and questions about your medical history asked. Volunteers will receive $50 check payable to cash for their participation in the study.
