Student Organization Events & Information

  • 1/30 Pre-Med? Pre-Dent? Public Health? Join UAID Today

United Against Inequities in Disease (UAID) is a public health oriented club that surveys local communities, such as Willimantic, and develops service-based projects associated with what they need to improve their communal health.

Come partner with events around campus and the Willimantic region to provide relief and awareness to health disparities. With plenty of leadership opportunities and new, student assembled community service projects every year, our club will provide you with new experiences and skills.

This semester, we are working with Windham No-Freeze, a local homeless shelter, to develop projects to do with individuals living there.

As UConn's 2016 Organization Community Service Award recipients, we provide opportunities for hands-on, community-based service that has a significant impact on our community. Come to our meetings or look for us at the Student Activities Fair.

Our first general body meeting of the semester will be Tuesday, January 30 at 7:30 pm in SU 318. We will be discussing the projects with No-Freeze as well as updating our poster for the involement fair and organizing our upcoming tabling and fundraising events.

Meetings at 318 SU on Tuesdays 7:30pm every-other-week
