The Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics will be running computer-based experiments on Friday 3:30pm to 5:30pm (January 26). We are looking for ten volunteers per session. The experiment will run for less than two and a half hours. You will participate in a simulated market environment at computer terminals, seeking to earn as much money as possible over the course of the experiment. Your earnings during the experiment will translate to an amount of actual earnings that you get to take home with you. The better you do in the experiment, the more money you will take home. Typical earnings will be between $20 and $40, while the actual earning can be lower or higher, depending on your individual performance. You will be paid in cash after the experiment. All sessions will take place in the W.B. Young building, Room 304. This experiment is approved under IRB Exemption #X12-129 protocol.
We also have sessions on Saturday and Sunday 3:00pm to 5pm. Please reply to experimentuconn@gmail.com if you are interested in participating. VERY IMPORTANT: When you attempt to register for an experiment, your email must include the session you want to attend, your name and student ID. Spots will be filled on a "first to reply" basis. Since we have very limited time to reply all the emails, you will only receive an email confirming your spot in the experiment if you are selected. Thank you for your understanding. If you have participated in any previous sessions, you are not eligible for this sequence of experiments. Thank you.
