  • Calling all Creative Writers

Join the UConn Coalition of Writers Club!

If you are a passionate creative writer who needs time out of your busy schedule to dedicate to your writing, or you want to meet other writers on campus to chat about books and critique work, or if you’re looking for a writerly place to call home, then the UConn Coalition of Writers is the club for you.

We give you fun and challenging writing prompts to work on your writing skills. We offer critique work if you have a project you want looked at. We have free-write time for half an hour where you can write about absolutely anything. We also occasionally have meetings where we just play games and de-stress when exams come around.

We welcome all writers from fiction writers to poets to playwrights to songwriters, even those who don’t consider themselves a good writer but want to give it a shot anyway!

This club is a space for you to give your passion the time it deserves with people who are just as passionate as you are about writing. We are there to encourage, support and applaud all kinds of writing from the silliest of poems to the most dramatic short stories.

The club meets weekly on Tuesdays from 7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in Monteith room 414.

We look forward to meeting you!
