    Philip and Barbara Kaplan Scholarship

    The Philip and Barbara Kaplan Scholarship has been established by Ambassador Philip S. Kaplan and Barbara Kaplan to support a student of exceptional academic achievement with a demonstrated commitment to pursuing a career in international public service. The scholarship awards up to $5,000 to defray tuition costs at the university.

    Eligibility:

    1. Be a graduating senior (May, 2018) or a graduate student

    2. Be enrolled in the University’s Honors Program or participate in Enrichment Programs at the Storrs, CT campus

    3. Demonstrate exceptional academic achievement

    4. Demonstrate a commitment to pursuing a career in international public service (international law, diplomacy, non-governmental organization, etc.)

    Application:

    Application materials include a 500-word personal essay explaining the candidate's career objectives, an unofficial transcript, a resume, and one letter of recommendation from a faculty member.
