  • Survey - Try to Solve your Financial Problem

Do you want to know your financial attitudes and problem-solving abilities in financial issues?

The doctoral student Xiaowen Liu, who is in the Program of Measurement, Evaluation, and Assessment, Neag School of Education, is seeking participants in a survey.

This is a course project in course Construction of Evaluation Instruments, an instrument development course, taught by Dr. Aarti Bellara. The questionnaire is exploring association between financial attitudes (financial self-efficacy, stress, and plan) and financial problem-solving capacity. UConn IRB # H16-152 (PI Dr. Aarti Bellara)

Participation will include completing questionnaires about your confidence in one’s capacity to cope with financial problems, the extent to which a person believes coping with financial issues causes mental and emotional stress, the extent to which the individual focuses more on long-term rather than short-term issues related to finances, and the cognitive behavioral process that an individual uses to handle complex and/or problematic personal financial issues.

If you are at least 18 years old and are an undergraduate student in University of Connecticut, and have access to a computer with internet you may be eligible to participate.
