    Time and Location: 4/10/2017 7PM-8PM, Gentry 140

Kacey Byczek, from the Lower East Side Harm Reduction Center (LESHRC), will be presenting about harm reduction as a treatment philosophy -- including a discussion on the systems of oppression which contributed to (and are still contributing to the War on Drugs) – and how harm reduction techniques are relevant on college campuses. Byczek will present over Skype.

Lower East Side Harm Reduction Center is a culturally diverse, community-based, non-profit organization whose mission is to reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS, HCV and other drug-related harm among injection drug users and the community. Using a harm reduction philosophy, the center provides programs that are based on the nonjudgmental acceptance of drug users, evidence-based health science, and human rights.
