    On Monday Feb 6, join co-founders Gabriel Sayegh and Lorenzo Jones for a public presentation on their work at the Katal Center for Health, Equity and Justice. They will discuss their work fighting mass incarceration, the war on drugs and advancement of health, equity and justice.

     

    5-6pm, Oak 101: Public presentation on Katal with a focus on mass incarceration and the organization.

    The Katal Center is a new organization focused on:   

    • Ending mass criminalization, mass incarceration, and the war on drugs.
    • Promoting justice, equity, and community safety.
    • Advancing health-based approaches to drug policy.
    • Building leadership and organizing capacity of organizers, advocates, and community organizations.

     

    The Katal Center for Health, Equity, and Justice is a growing team of professionals with decades of collective experience in community organizing, policy advocacy, strategy development, training, political campaigns and communications. We collaborate with our partners to build powerful, research-based campaigns to dismantle mass incarceration, end the war on drugs, and advance health, equity, and justice.
