Are you interested in Special Education? Do you enjoy making meaningful relationships with people? Are you interested in volunteering or earning community service hours?
Campus Connections works with the Windham organization Camp Horizons. They serve individuals with intellectual disabilities. At Camp Horizons, we will be assisting professional staff members with facilitating various activities and lessons for the campers. Towards the end of the semester, we will come together and create our own activities and lessons as a group.
We are scheduled to visit Camp Horizons on 6 Saturdays this semester: 10/8, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12, 12/3. We will be leaving campus at 9:00 am and arriving back on campus at 1:30 pm.
No prior experience is needed. Camp Horizons is looking for individuals who want to challenge themselves!
Looking for participants who can commit to coming these Saturdays, but of course, life happens and if you need to miss a Saturday for any reason, thats OK.
