As part of the Division of Public Safety, the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) coordinates emergency preparedness, response, and recovery activities. Using an all-hazard approach, we’re responsible for the development, implementation, training and review of UConn’s Emergency Operations Plan. The Office of Emergency Management coordinates preparedness efforts and emergency training of staff, faculty, and students across every UConn campus.
OEM is committed to your safety and providing you the resources you need to be UConn Ready. Based on federal emergency preparedness guidelines, these guides offer practical information for our UConn community.
Emergencies don’t wait. Having solid preparation can give you peace of mind and, in the face of an emergency, save lives. We’re here to help every Husky prepare for emergencies before they happen. We offer emergency preparation guidelines and resources for every Husky, including students, parents, faculty/staff, and community partners.
