Dr. Angela Starkweather is seeking volunteers to be part of a paid research study being done at the School of Nursing at Storrs Hall. The research study will examine responses to heat and cold, vibration, and pressure applied to the skin. Participation will include completing questionnaires, undergoing a sensory assessment, and collecting a swab from your cheek or having blood drawn.
If you are between the ages of 8-70 years old and do not have any major health problems or pain conditions, you may be eligible to participate.
You will not be eligible if you have: A chronic pain condition or other conditions that cause pain; neurological deficits such as weakness
