Please join UConn Change Lives for a showing of the educational and inspiring Saudi Arabian-German film, Wadjda. Having won numerous awards at film festivals around the world, Wadjda explores the life of a young Saudi whose dream of owning a bicycle is frowned upon by those around her. Although the film takes place in the the Saudi Arabian capital city of Riydh, Wadjda focuses on universal elements including gender roles, tradition, and societal expectations. Wadjda will be showing on October 29th at 7 PM in Oak 269.
