Human Rights in Latin America
Through literature, film, and the writings of historians, cultural theorists, and social researchers from across the Americas, we will examine historical antecedents to late 20th-21st century human rights, discuss the reach and limits of human rights concepts and movements as instruments of liberation, and highlight north-south and south-south exchanges of knowledge and solidarity.
