PANELISTS
Phoebe Godfrey, Ph.D., Assistant Professor-in-Residence, Sociology at UConn. She is co-founder of the new non-profit CLiCK, a shared-use commercial kitchen and a health and nutrition center, and teaches courses on the sociology of food, society, and climate change, and sustainable societies.
Fadi A. Al Khayer, M.D., Specialist in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism, and Geriatric Medicine. He is affiliated with Hartford Hospital and maintains an office in Mansfield, CT.
Renee M. Gross, J.D., Coordinator of Legal Initiatives, Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity, UConn. She provides key legal analyses and support for policy options concerning food marketing to build understanding and support for legal reforms on marketing-related food policies.
MODERATOR
Shoshana Levinson, M.S, CNS, cDN, Dietitian, Nutritionist, Wellness Coach. She has over 30 years of experience in integrative nutrition and wellness programs that she presents to youth and other groups. She also counsels individuals in private practice.
This program is free and presented in conjunction with the 2015 UConn Reads book selection, The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan, and the museum's exhibition Sweet Sensations.
