    Applying for 2015-2016 Financial Aid

If you haven’t already, please be sure to file your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) before UConn’s March 1st priority deadline.  FAFSAs can be completed by visiting http://fafsa.gov .  Financial aid is awarded based on financial need. Please respond promptly to all requests for any additional information requested by our office to ensure your timely consideration for all sources of available funding.

Continuing Student 2015-206 Financial Aid Awards

We anticipate awarding financial aid for continuing students beginning in late April.  Check your UConn email address frequently for important correspondence from our office.

    Summer 2015 Financial Aid

If you plan to take courses at UConn during the 2015 summer session and wish to be considered for financial aid, you must:

    • Enroll for summer courses; most forms of aid require that you enroll on at least a half time basis
    • Have completed a 2014-2015 FAFSA
    • Complete a summer financial aid application (available via the Student Administration System on or around February 23)

We expect to begin awarding financial aid for summer in early April.  Please be aware that financial aid for the summer is limited, and is based on your remaining annual eligibility of Federal Pell Grant and Federal Direct Stafford Loan for the 2014-2015 Award Year.  Please note that other financing options, such as PLUS and Alternative loans are available for the Summer.  Details can be found on our website at http://financialaid.uconn.edu/
