Xiaoran Sun is a McKnight Land-Grant Assistant Professor in
Family Social Science and a faculty affiliate with the Data
Science and AI Hub at University of Minnesota--Twin Cities.
Her research focuses on using innovative methods to
understand how teens and parents use digital technologies,
including social media and AI companions, and how their
digital behaviors impact their relationships and mental
health. Her research has been funded by the National
Institute of Mental Health, Spencer Foundation, and
Children & Screens: Institute of Digital Media and Child
Development.
