EcoMadness starts TODAY! This month-long competition hosted by UConn's Office of Sustainability pits residence halls against each other to see who can emerge as winners in:
- Reducing electricity use
- Reducing water use
- Recycling most accurately
Winning halls in each category will be entitled to free ice cream, bragging rights, and the warm glow of knowing you made a change to support a healthier environment!
From October 1st-31st try to:
- Recycle correctly. Learn what can go in the bins here.
- Take shorter showers
- Unplug laptop chargers when they're not in use
- Turn off the lights in your room when you leave
The Office of Sustainability will share tips throughout the competition to help your hall win. We'll also share the standings every week. Stay tuned to see how your residence hall is doing throughout the month and if you are on track to winning some free Dairy Bar ice cream!
