Please join the Welcome Quilt in collaboration with the Human Rights Institute, WeLAB, the Wellness Community, and the Well-Being Collective. Come together in community to create handmade quilts for young families who are newcomers to the U.S. or facing hardship. We will be in CT Hall room 103 from 3-6 on 9/30. All students, staff, and faculty are welcome even if they are not a resident of CT Hall.
Each quilt we make is a gesture of love and welcome, stitched with purpose and shared in solidarity.
This effort brings together university students, faculty, staff, and local community members in a shared commitment to care, craft, and connection. No sewing experience is needed—just your time, creativity, and care.
We are openly seeking co-facilitators and sponsors for future events rotating in communities on or near our campuses.
Gratitude to the Wellness Community, Dodd Center for Human Rights, Willi Wellness Diaper Bank, and Research on Resilient Cities, Racism, and Equity for their openness to collaboration and generosity sharing their spaces.
