The Collegiate Health Service Corps is a semester long service organization through Community Outreach. We bring health education to medically underserved communities around the Storrs area. Three of our service sites are primarily Spanish speaking. We are thus looking for Spanish speaking student interpreters who can help with our health lessons each week at these sites.
You need not have experience to be eligible. CHSC is invested in the idea of service learning: participants learn as much from their service as they give back to the community. If you are able to speak Spanish and are interested in health equity, healthcare, migrant worker rights, careers in translation, and/or if you are just looking for a way to get involved, please consider applying to this opportunity!
