Local Government Career Panel 10 - 11 AM, June 6 at UConn Hartford
UConn School of Public Policy invites the Hartford campus community to join us for a career event this Saturday, June 6 from 10 to 11 AM. The session kicks off with a keynote address by East Hartford's Mayor Connor Martin, followed by panelist and elected officials and staff from the City of Danbury, Town of Simsbury, Town of Newington, and Town of Windsor.
Speakers will be sharing their insights on pursuing careers in public service, what it is like to work in local government or serve in elected office, and share advice for students who want to give back to their local communities. This panel is part of an undergraduate-focused local government case competition, so attendees are welcome to observe those competition presentations as well, if interested.
If you'd like to join us on Saturday June 6, please email Ryan Baldassario (ryan.baldassario@uconn.edu) or Julianna Service (jms20017work@uconn.edu). Thank you!
