Join Job Search Jumpstart: Finding Your First Job, a two-day virtual program designed to give you the tools, strategies, and confidence to take the next step in your career. Each day features three workshops 30 minutes - 1 hour in length, followed by optional one-on-one meetings with a Career Coach at the Center for Career Readiness and Life Skills.
Through interactive sessions and guidance from Career Coaches, you’ll learn how to move forward with clarity and purpose.
What you’ll learn:
Day 1, Wednesday, May 13th: Getting Started & Building Your Toolkit
- What’s holding your job search back, and how to fix it
- How to explore career options that align with your goals
- Résumé and cover letter strategies that stand out
- Personalized feedback through résumé critique sessions
Day 2, Thursday May 14th: Putting Your Toolkit into Action
- How to network effectively and use LinkedIn strategically
- Where (and how) to search for the right opportunities
- Interview strategies to communicate your strengths with confidence
- How to build experience, even if you feel like you have none
- Practice interviews with Career Coaches
