    • Werth Book Swap and Origami: This Thursday, April 9, from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, swap your old books for new ones while watching a documentary and making sustainable origami! You can also consider donating your books to EcoHusky for a future fundraiser 📚

    • Water Bottle Planting: This Sunday, April 12, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, make sure to celebrate Spring by stopping by the back quad of CT Hall to participate in water bottle planting! Learn how to make a planter from a recycled water bottle and watch your plant grow 🌱

     

    Fun Fact: Did you know it takes about 16,000 liters of water to make 1 kilogram of beef? One of the most impactful lifestyle changes you can make is to reduce your meat consumption (especially red meat).

     

    Reason to Smile: Germany has just begun a project commissioning the first-ever vertical floating solar technology. This advancement could significantly reduce the amount of land needed for solar fields by sitting atop artificial water bodies, allowing for more renewable energy without endangering marine ecosystems.     Local Sustainability News: After a legal battle with the Trump Administration, Connecticut has officially been able to power on the new offshore wind farm, Revolution Wind. This new source of sustainable energy, located in New London, will power 350,000 CT homes! Read more here.
